1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using https://olud.ai (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect when changes were made.

2. Description of Service

olud.ai is an independent AI intelligence and discovery platform that tracks and analyses open-source projects, AI tools, models and related ecosystem data, and provides comparison, monitoring, ranking and built-in AI tools (chat, code assistant, summarizer, translator, text-to-speech, prompt generator, AI detector, social post generator). All built-in AI tools are powered by open-source models via the Pollinations AI API and/or a server-side proxy (Groq). We do not develop or own the underlying AI models.

The directory and its content are provided free of charge with no guarantee of availability, uptime, or continuity of service. Optional paid features or services may be introduced in the future; they will be clearly identified as such and governed by their own terms.

Optional member accounts. You may create a free member account (passwordless, email-based sign-in links) to follow projects and receive email alerts. You are responsible for providing a valid email address you control. Alert emails are provided on a best-effort basis, with no guarantee of delivery, timeliness or completeness — they must not be relied upon as your sole monitoring of any project. We may suspend or delete accounts used abusively (including automated registration or excessive requests). You can delete your account and the personal data and account content stored directly by olud.ai at any time from your account page; content hosted by third-party services (such as comments stored through GitHub Discussions) remains subject to those services' deletion mechanisms and policies.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Site. If applicable data-protection law in your country requires parental or guardian consent for users below a higher age threshold, you may use account or consent-based features only with the required authorization. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Generate, distribute, or promote illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Upload, post, or link to pornographic or sexually explicit content, or any sexual content involving minors
• Upload, post, or link to gratuitous violence or gore, or content that incites, threatens, or glorifies violence, terrorism or self-harm
• Post hate speech, or content that attacks or dehumanises people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Harass, defame, threaten, or harm any individual or group
• Generate content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass, or exploit the Site's systems
• Distribute malware, spam, or engage in phishing
• Impersonate real individuals in a misleading or harmful way
• Use the Site for political campaigning, election interference, or large-scale manipulation
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

We reserve the right to block access to users who violate these rules, without prior notice.

4.1 Your content and public profile

Members may create content that is public on the Service — including a public profile (handle, display name, bio, links), an uploaded avatar and banner image, votes, and comments. You retain ownership of the content you submit. By making it available, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and promote the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish and you warrant that you have the rights to it and that it does not breach the Acceptable Use rules above or anyone's rights. We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, remove any content, hide a profile, or suspend or delete an account — in particular for the violations listed above. You can delete your content or your account at any time from your account page.

Comments are provided through giscus and are stored as GitHub Discussions in a public repository; by commenting you also agree to GitHub's Terms of Service. To report content that infringes these Terms or the law, contact [email protected].

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 No Training on Your Data

olud.ai does not use your prompts or outputs to train AI models. When third-party AI providers process a request, their handling of that request is governed by the applicable provider terms and privacy policies.

5.2 The olud.ai assistant

The chat bubble answers questions about AI and about this site. When our built-in answers do not cover a question, its text is sent to OpenRouter, which routes it to a DeepSeek model, along with public figures from this site. The assistant is provided as a convenience: it can be wrong, and it is not a support channel, a contract, or advice of any kind. It answers only about AI and about olud.ai.

The text of your question is kept in an anonymous rolling log so we can improve the answers — with no IP address, no account identifier and no cookie attached. Full detail in our Privacy Policy. Do not submit personal, confidential or regulated information. Each visitor may ask up to 15 questions a day; we may change or withdraw the assistant at any time.

5.3 Accuracy Disclaimer

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. Nothing generated by this Site constitutes legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for verifying and relying on any AI output.

5.4 Ownership of Outputs

Subject to applicable law, third-party rights and the terms applicable to the underlying AI provider or model, olud.ai does not claim ownership of content generated by users through its AI tools. You are responsible for verifying whether additional licence or usage restrictions apply to the relevant model or output (for example, certain Meta Llama variants carry non-standard licences).

5.5 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the prompts you submit and any use you make of AI-generated outputs. We are not liable for any harm, loss, or legal consequence arising from AI outputs.

Automated metrics and rankings

Scores and rankings published on the Service (including the Olud Pulse score) are computed automatically from public adoption signals as described in our methodology. They measure adoption, not quality, are recalculated regularly, and are provided without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose. They must not be used as the sole basis for commercial, financial or hiring decisions.

6. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

The name "olud.ai", its logo, and original website content (design, copy, code) are the intellectual property of olud.ai. All rights reserved.

Third-party names and logos mentioned on this Site — including but not limited to OpenAI, Meta, Google DeepMind, Mistral AI, Alibaba, Stability AI, Hugging Face — are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Their use on this Site is solely for identification and informational purposes and does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement by those companies.

Where an AI model or project is distributed under an open-source or other licence, its use remains subject to the applicable licence terms. olud.ai does not grant additional rights over third-party models or software.

Open data

Certain datasets produced by olud.ai are made available for reuse as described on our Open Data API page. This permission applies only to data, scores, classifications, rankings and other information created by olud.ai, or for which olud.ai has the right to grant reuse rights. Third-party data — including information originating from GitHub or individual repositories (names, descriptions, README content, logos, avatars) — remains subject to the applicable rights, licences and terms of the original source; nothing in these Terms grants additional rights over third-party content. Attribution with a link to olud.ai is appreciated. The datasets are provided "as is", without warranty, and we may change their format or availability at any time.

Third-Party Project Data

olud.ai collects and analyses publicly available information about third-party software projects and AI models, including information obtained through official APIs such as the GitHub API. Third-party project names, repository content, trademarks, descriptions, logos and other materials remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their respective licences and terms; olud.ai does not claim ownership of third-party project content. Rankings, scores, classifications, relationships, analyses and other original transformations created by olud.ai remain olud.ai content; to the extent permitted by applicable law, compilations and datasets independently created and maintained by olud.ai may also be protected by applicable intellectual-property or database rights. This does not affect rights in the underlying third-party data. The inclusion of a project on olud.ai does not imply affiliation with, or endorsement by, the project's owner. Project owners may request correction or removal of information at any time — see data removal or write to [email protected].

7. DMCA / Copyright Takedown Procedure

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on this Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to [email protected] containing:

• Your full name and contact information (email, address, phone)
• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• The specific URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content on our Site
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

We will review all valid DMCA notices and respond within 10 business days. We will remove or disable access to content found to be infringing.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, olud.ai, its operators, contributors, and hosting providers shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content
• Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data

In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim exceed €1 (one euro), regardless of the form of action or the basis of the claim, or — for paid services — the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France. By using this Site, you irrevocably consent to this jurisdiction and waive any objection to the inconvenience of this forum.

This governing law clause is intended to limit exposure to litigation in foreign jurisdictions. However, mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence may still apply regardless of this clause.

11. International Users — Specific Notices

🇺🇸 United States (Section 230 / DMCA)

We operate as a technology platform and interactive computer service provider. To the extent applicable, we claim the protections afforded by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230) for third-party content. For DMCA copyright claims, see Section 7 above. California residents may exercise CCPA rights via our Privacy Policy.

🇪🇺 European Union (AI Act / GDPR)

Our AI tools are general-purpose AI tools designed for informational, creative, and productivity purposes. We do not operate any AI systems classified as "high-risk" under the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689). GDPR rights are addressed in our Privacy Policy.

🇯🇵 Japan (APPI / Defamation)

Users in Japan may have additional rights under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). Users are reminded that under Japanese law, defamation laws are strict and may apply to AI-generated content about real individuals. Do not use our tools to generate content that could damage the reputation or honor of any person.

🇧🇷 Brazil (LGPD)

Brazilian users' data rights are governed by the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD — Law No. 13.709/2018). See our Privacy Policy for details.

🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia / GCC (PDPL)

Users in Saudi Arabia and other GCC jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under applicable local law, including where applicable the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Site.
