Cline adds cloud task toggle; Qwen3.6 input price up 28%

119,595 stars today67 new projects+7,436 security-audit-skill

Cline v4.1.26 adds a local and cloud toggle in Settings, under API Configuration, when cloud sessions are on. The cloud option picks the Cline model that new cloud tasks run on. The selection is saved separately.

The platform tracked 119,595 GitHub stars gained across 10,000-plus open-source AI projects so far today. Sixty-seven new projects entered the index. This week, 1,999 new projects were added, plus 100 new Hugging Face spaces. The top gainer is security-audit-skill with 7,436 stars added.

Model pricing moved in two directions today. Qwen3.6 27B input price rose 28% to $0.32 per 1M tokens. GLM 5.3 input price fell 11% to $0.08 per 1M tokens.

Releases of the day

Cline v4.1.26 is the main release. It adds a Local | Cloud toggle in the API Configuration settings when cloud sessions are enabled. The cloud setting determines which Cline model new cloud tasks use, and it is stored separately from the local setting. n8n 2.44.7 fixes two bugs. A sub-workflow error workflow now starts when a pre-run check fails. The Email Trigger IMAP node backs off reconnects. Milvus v3.0.4 shipped with a release note pending. Stable-Baselines3 v2.9.2 is the last release supporting Python 3.10, which reaches end of life in October 2026. The project recommends upgrading to a newer Python.

Pricing moves

Qwen3.6 27B input price increased 28%, to $0.32 per 1M tokens. GLM 5.3 input price decreased 11%, to $0.08 per 1M tokens. The changes affect teams paying for these models by input token. GLM 5.3 remains cheaper than Qwen3.6 27B for input use.

Emerging projects

Eight projects were detected today. earshot (Python, 2,618 stars) gives coding agents audio capabilities. freehire (Go, 2,981 stars) is an open-source job search engine. carrel (Python, 463 stars) does ontology-augmented generation for AI agents. ffmpeg-skill (Python, 2,556 stars) exposes 42 FFmpeg tools to coding agents through an MCP server. solidcraft (Rust, 10,050 stars) is a parametric 3D CAD application with MCP automation. project-maya (C++, 1,765 stars) runs GLM-5.3-Flash and DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 locally on one to 16 GPUs. open-intelligent-ui (TypeScript, 810 stars) offers an open-source version of ChatGPT's Intelligent UI. ARTEX (Go, 1,870 stars) is an AI autonomous penetration testing system.

Research pick

The research pick is UserArena, a benchmark for interactive user simulation in long-horizon shopping agents. It was posted on Hugging Face by Jujia Zhao, Jiakai Tang, Jing Yu and colleagues and has 40 upvotes. The work targets agentic recommendation, where agents pursue shopper goals through sequences of context-dependent decisions. It argues that evaluation needs faithful recommendation world models that capture both the interactive shopping environment and the user.

The bigger picture

Today's facts show agent control surfaces expanding across tasks and tools. Cline separates local from cloud model choice, multiple new projects bring agent capabilities into audio, video, CAD, and security, and model pricing moves in opposite directions.
